West Coast Vacation

My wife and I would like to visit the West Coast and plan to spend 2 weeks but can not decide between San Franciso to Seattle or San Franciso to Lake Tahoe back to Monterey. If there is a better combination of stops I would like hear your suggestions and your thoughts for my picks.

Thanks

You might give just a bit more detail such as what time of year you are planning to visit and what interests you.

We will be traveling in September and enjoy small shops, scenery and sights of interest such as mansions, landmarks, etc.

Well, I would do the San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Monterey. And save the Seattle for a Seattle, Victoria, Vancouver.

Seattle doesn't make much sense, to me, on this itinerary, because the distance between San Francisco and Seattle is so great.

On your way back from Lake Tahoe you might want to dip into the Gold Country..Hwy 49..which you can get into from Auburn. from Hwy 80. See a map.

An addendum. The Gold Country has many charming towns and b & b's and history.
