Weekend Getaway

Looking for ideas for a weekend getaway in the area of SW Michigan in the beginning of April. Holland, Grand Haven, etc. I am trying to plan with other couples who like to stay at nice "hidden gems" and in a town with great food options. What is there to see in this area? Wineries?
Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

Well, Stephy, is Traverse City too far north? Your question triggered my memory of a place I have been eager to try, but have not had the opportunity to do so. I bookmarked it:

Click on Calendar of Events - your could take in a wine seminar or cooking class.

If you don't want to drive that far, perhaps you would like Saugatuck. This would be a nice place to stay:

Both of these look very nice! Thanks for the links! I think we might be interested in renting out a house/cottage in the area's mentioned however. We have freinds who like to cook meals for the rest of us (which is nice). If we go in April will there be lots to do as far as wineries, art galleries, antinques and good dining (if we dont decide to cook)? Any unique historical places to visit? I hear in Holland you can learn about and watch the making of wooden shoes.
