Wedding in the Keys?
My fiance and I are trying to plan a Feb. 2002 wedding in the Florida Keys. We want to have the ceremony on a beach, preferably at sunset, with about 30-35 guests(some children under 10). Also trying to not spend a fortune. Does anyone have a recommendation or contacts that would help us make the best possible decision for our big day? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

My nephew was married last Feb. in Key West, on the beach. They hired someone from there, a type of wedding planner. They were married by a notary, at sunset. They didn't spend much. I can try to get the name of the person if you would like me to. If you are interested in Key West. Please email me at my email address if you want me to check with them.

we got married at banana bay resort in marathon (key vaca)...a fairly plain ceremony. the hotel manager/wedding planner performs the ceremony which takes place about 7pm (july time)before sunset. a photographer is included and he brings you the pics the next day. theres a basic champagne toast and cheese tray type thing after the ceremony and you can arrange for a dinner at the hotels resturant afterwards. this all takes place at a man made type beach (as they all are in the keys) next to a small marina facing the gulf side. don't remember the cost of the whole thing.....this was back in '98.

The Pelican Cove Resort is a nice place for the occasion, not to many kids around & nice accommodations with ocean view. You won't be the 1st to have a honeymoon there. My friends advise me that the staff their took care of everthing & all turn out great. Congratulations!
