Weather in Jackson and Yellowstone

We're scheduled to be at Grand Tetons and Yellowstone next week. It looks like the highs will be in the 70's. Is it generally cold at night? We are staying on-site and I'm trying to determine if we should bring coats.

And be sure to pack for layering! We were there about three weeks ago and it was cold in the morning but steadily warmed up as the day went on. It got cold again as the sun went down. Also, rain ponchos are always a good idea. Have fun -- I wish I could go to YNP once a year!

Ditto to both replies, we were there last week and required coats quite OFTEN. Mild during the day, but CHILLY AT NIGHT. Even during overcats days we had our coats on...best to layer, then peel off as needed.

Judyrem, We were there last week too! You weren't the one charging that bison were you?

Agree with others. Layers work. For us is was tshirts, hoodies, and gortex jackets.

Have a super trip!
