Weather in December

Does anybody have a guess about what kind of temperatures we can expect in Cocoa Beach around the week before Christmas?

you may want to repost with COCOA BEACH or FLORIDA in the header. "Weather in December" is a little vague and will force hundreds of viewers to look at the post unnecessarily!

Instead of giving the poor guy hell, why not just answer his question?

Anon, I think I love you.....
Now, if anybody can give me some information about "Weather in December" under the "Florida" list of questions, I'd appreciate it!

We used to take our kids to visit Florida grandparents at Christmas. Sometimes it was fabulous and beach weather. Sometimes it was rainy and rarely reached 75. On those occasions people would say "Oh, you should have been here last week."

Chances are good it'll be pleasant - mid-70s, maybe higher. Always a chance of a freak cold snap, though, but I wouldn't plan my trip based on that. Water will be too chilly to do any serious swimming (unless you're from Greenland.)

It should be pleasant, but as one poster said, don't plan on doing any swimming (unless it's in an indoor pool). Figure somewhere between 60 and 70 degress likely, but it could dip into the 40s and 50s at night.

Thanks for all the info. We're coming from Ohio (yeah I know, "snowbirds") so 60-70 sounds pretty nice. I'm not that big a birdbrain to try the ocean though. (nyuk, nyuk) Just looking for some warm sun!
