WDW hotel or Sunpree
Going to Disney in October. Considering the All Star Movies Resort vs. Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort in Lake Buena Vista. Any suggestions?
Also, since the parks should be closed at 7pm, what goes on for a 6 and 7 yr old for entertainment until bedtime?
Is there a shuttle that goes between the airport and WDW or would a taxi be cheaper since it would be one price instead of individual costs?
Any suggestions to save on cost for a family of 4.

Absolutely stay inside WDW at the All-Star!!!!!!
Yes there are shuttles to WDW from the airport; conatct WDW or Orlando airport authority.
There is always something to do at WDW and you have picked a lower time to go(not as many crowds). I suggest getting the Birnbaum book on Disney...it gives alot of info.
Also there are some posters here at Fodors who have great insider sites on WDW but I cannot remeber whom.
Your kids will thank you for taking them and you will never forget it!!!!

Absolutely stay at All-Star Movies. My husband and I stayed there last October and enjoyed it very much. There will be plenty to do for your children. The pools will be open in the evening; if it is warm enough that's always an option. The resort also has a game room and shows Disney movies in the evening. You can also take a shuttle over to Disney Marketplace. Play in the "Legoland" there. Visit World of Disney, the world's largest Disney store. Stop at Ghiradelli's for a fabulous chocolate shake. Take a shuttle over to Boardwalk and check it out. There are endless possibilities. While you are at Disney, you may be fortunate enough to have an E-Night. That is when the Magic Kingdom opens up after hours (for three hours) for resort guests to ride the most popular rides with virtually no wait. Regarding transportation, You may want to consider Tiffany Town Car. It costs $70 round trip for a driver to pick your party up in a town car (obviously) and take you directly to your resort. The larger your party, the more economical it is (the Mears shuttle, for example, is about $25 per person - a little less for kids). We used Tiffany and would not hesitate to use it again. Their website is www.tiffanytowncar.com. Also check out Deb Wills's Disney site at www.wdwig.com for great info. Please email me if you have any questions. Been there 18 times; trips 19 and 20 coming up!

Deb Wills site has great info! Check out trip reports, some are written by kids. I highly recommend going to Pleasure Island one evening, take your kids to the Adventurer's Club. They have really funny, tho kinda corny, shows and the performers are terrific with kids. We stayed at All-star Music last trip for part of vacation & had wonderful time!

EPCOT's World Showcase always stays open till 9pm, even when other parks close early. For a young kid, World Showcase may admittedly not be as appealing as MK, but has gotten a lot more "kid appeal" in recent years. Also the nightly 'Illuminations' light-laser-firework show at EPCOT goes on year round, whereas other parks will stop their shows in off season.
Ditto on Adventurer's Club advice! That place is sooo much fun!
