Wayfarer Inn in Carmel CA

Thanks everyone for your help. I have reservations at the Wayfarer Inn in Carmel (just like you all predicted it was almost impossible to get a room in Carmel from Sept. 7 to the 11th). I am wondering if anyone has ever stayed here or been by it and any comments they may have.

Also decided to stay the 5th & 6th at the Moonstone Inn in Cambria (saw a favorable report on it here. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks so much for all your help.

I can't help you with Carmel; however we stayed at the Blue Whale Inn on Moonstone Beach in Cambria. It was very nice, plush, and romantic. They served a wonderful gormet breakfast and had homemade cookies, wine and cheese in the afternoons. It is expensive but not out of line for beachfront accomodations. We paid $190.00 a night.

I haven't stayed at the Wayfarer - I think I know the place - is it on 4th street? Anyway, If it is the one I'm thinking of it is OK - lots of chimneys so I assume all or most rooms have fireplaces. In any case - rooms are hard to find so you should probably go for it.
