Washington Hotel help again

I have been having problems posting my question, so here goes again. We are going to DC in December. we are 2 families with kids form 7-15. I booked the Embassy Suites Downtown in Dupont Circle. I was told it was close to the Metro and resturants. Is this true? We need a place with suite type rooms because of the kids. Can anyone hlep?

It is close to restaurants and about a 5-7 minute walk to two different Metro stations.

Yes you are right near everything. I would have preferred the Residence Inn on 11th and Vermont I think. They also have a CVS store downstairs. Also, the Metro is just a couple of blocks away.

Our family really enjoyed staying at that Embassy Suites last summer and would return. It is a 4-5 block walk to the Metro and there are lots of restaurants in the area. We also had a couple of dinners in the hotel restaurant which we thought was pretty good.

If you decide to take a cab somewhere, they do pull up in front of the hotel frequently and are fairly inexpensive.

Have a great trip to DC!
