Washington Christmas sights?

Washington Christmas sights?
We're heading to DC this weekend to check out the Christmas sights. Can anyone recommend any places with special displays or events? I was thinking maybe the zoo or Botanical Garden would have special displays, but I can't find much in the way of details of such on their websites. How about decorated hotels or restaurants? We're kid-free (also husband-free so we can do all the corny holiday stuff and shop, shop, shop). So far, we're heading to Union Station for the Norwegian festival, Alexandria for the Scottish parade and Wolf Trap for the sing-along on Sunday.

You are early for the National Christmas tree and probably the Capital Christmas tree as well. (Washpost was just reporting today that it is being erected. It's from Wash State, this year.)
The grounds of the Mormon Temple just off Connecticut Ave and JUST outside the beltway in Montgomery County MD are usually well decorated (as well as being a phenomenal structure 365 days a year!) but I don't know if they are ready for the season yet.

Beginning Dec. 2, the Botanical Garden has a lovely Christmas disply that includes impressive models of local monuments made entirely of plant materials. Definitely worth a visit, especially since it is free. And it is open on Christmas Day, when everything else is closed.

The concert is at 4th & Independence on Capitol Hill. There are lots of great nearby places to eat (like Montmartre) or drink (a lot of us head to the Hawk and Dove tavern after performances to unwind...)

The one-time Robert E. Lee residence, Arlington House(?), located in Arlington National Cemetary, had a great program a few years ago ... think it was called "The Last Christmas" ... with choirs, and decorations as the house may have been the last year before the family left the house.
