WANTED:ANY INFORMATION ON SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA
FOr detailed information on the area you might want to call the Phoenix and Valley of the Sun Convention and Visitors Bureau (602/254-6500)--they can put together a packet and calendar of events for you. There is so much to do in Scottsdale from world-class shopping to gallery hopping and touring the Old Town. Of course, there is golf aplenty--there are more than 100 courses in the Valley. Contact the Arizona Golf Association (800/458-8484). Biking here is great because the terrain is so flat--be aware of the extreme desert heat. Have a wonderful trip!

The two most popular hikes in the Phoenix area are Camelback Mnt and Squaw Peak. Both are owned by the city of Phoenix, are free, and crowded. Get there early and always carry water. Its a spectular view from the summit of either. From Scottsdale drive west on Lincoln Dr. (most any local can direct you to either site.) If you want to bike you can use the canal banks that crisscross the valley (dirt surface, run east to west) or use the Indian Bend Wash in Scottsdale (asphalt, runs north and south) used heavily by walkers and rollerbladers...Good luck and always carry water everywhere

Scottsdale in April will be GREAT!!!!
It is an area of the RITZ!!!!
The resorts are gorgeous and costly.
There is much open space and LONGGGGGG
straight roads in this desert terrain. The dry air
is wonderful for the sinuses. The mountains
surrounding the desert our Majestic .
Love It Want to retire there!!
