Want to rent a cottage in Cape Cod -advice?
It will be 2 couples with 2 kids (2 and 3 years old). We are looking for a cottage super close to a beach. We'd like to rent bikes and do fun things with the kiddies. I don't even know where to begin to search. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You are quite late for this summer, but I would suggest you go to Weneedavacation.com, click on Cape Cod, and then the town you think you might enjoy. There is much advice on the Fodor's search site, if you would use it. The site has rentals, by the week, for all towns on the Cape.

Kids that young, I'd stay on the bay side -- the water is much gentler. We have had good luck with Cape Cod Realty. This late in the season, though, you will probably have to settle for leftovers.
There are also several small freshwater ponds, called Kettle Ponds, that you would enjoy. There is one in Nickerson State Park (Brewster), for example.
You might want to choose a town that the Cape Cod Rail Trail goes through -- between Dennis and Wellfleet.

capecodshanty...thanks for directing me to Weneedavacation.com. It has been really helpful so far. Although there are slim pickins so late in the game I think I will still be able to get someplace decent. And Capxxx...I would like to find something on the bay side but no finding much luck there yet...will check out Cape cod realty. Thanks so much for the help!!
