Walt Disney in late March..

I know spring break is a bad time for Disney World, and so is Easter, as the crowds are bad. My guess is that since Easter isn't til mid April this year, going in the last week of March or first week of April shouldn't be bad and the weather should be good. Any advice/insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

The last week of March should be about perfect temperature-wise. Can't say about the crowds, though. We've decided to go to WDW the last week of April, thinking it won't be so crowded a week after Easter; also the rates drop then. I'm just hoping it won't be TOO hot by then.

Diana, I would plan on it being crowded at WDW. I don't think there is a time when you would find otherwise for the most part. Spring break varies widely around the country. While many colleges have spring break earlier than that, many school districts have a set week (i.e. the town where we used to live always has break on the last week of March regardless of when Easter is). I agree with Kelly, your best bet for less crowds would be after 4/27.

Diana-Try not to go to WDW on a Monday. I have found Sat. Sunday and Monday to be the worst as far as crowds. Try to go on a Tuesday. Get up early and get moving. The longer you wait in the morning the worse the crowds.

We went to DisneyWorld the end of March a few years ago. It was crowded, yes, but not as bad as it might be. Agree to get there early. Though it's not our typical style, we were at the gate by 8:00 a.m. on a weekday and did five rides (including the popular Space Mountain and Splash Mountain) by 10:00 a.m.! Weather was just right. Have fun!

Advice: Get the park hours and plan around them.

The only 'thing' about the Easter weeks is the parks stay open much longer. Disney.com has the hours posted thru March.

Most close early (Kingdom is 7pm; Epcot 9pm; Animal Kingdom 5pm). During the weeks around Easter, the parks stay open and you can see the light parade, for example, at the Kingdom. Plus, the Kingdom is open till midnight.

Yeah, crowds are a pain, but with Fastpass and the extra time at the parks, Disney is in full gear and you wont run out of time.
