to change font color you have to do the "<" with font color=x you do not have to do an end ">" for color. To change back to black start with the "<" and font color=black and the ">".

So if you start typing and want to change the color to blue, put in code for the color. To change the color to black, copy and paste the code and change the color name.

How do you do the rainbow colors??!??

This time in English.

To change the font color, type: <
then add in: font color=x (where x is the color you want)
The only space in the code is between font and color.

Unlike the bold, italics, underline and strike through, you do not need to end the code.

When you want to change the color again (like back to black) redo the code (or copy and paste it) and put the new color name in the place of the x.

Wow! This topic has taken on a life of its own since last night! You guys are doing great, and ncgirl, I had no idea you could leave off the ending brackets on color. That makes it much easier--thanks!! I've always used them with UBB and maybe it's not even necessary there.

Scarlett you just have to move to Florida to be successful with orchids. I keep mine inside while they are blooming..some species for as long a 4 months, then move them out back when they finish. A year later they are blooming again, happy as can be. About the only way you can kill them is too much attention and care!

We are all paranoid folks. I figured I was at fault for its deletion because I'd written a quote from "When I am an Old Woman I Shall Wear Purple". I gave the author credit so thought I was safe, but maybe not.

Anyway...you all are doing great. Now Bozo will have to come teach us Perl. I figured you weren't writing code for each individual letter, Bozo, but couldn't/can't imagine how you were doing it!

Hey--think how irritating we can be now to the sour smilies haters...now they get smilies and rainbow hues to boot. hehheh...onward and upward.

font color equals blue makes it blue, but how about just color=blue inside of <> like this:

<color=blue>this is color equal blue
this is font color equal blue

I still can

looks like you've got to do code individually unless Bozo </> has a better way.
