I called my cousin in Harrisonburg and she did complain that the traffic sucks. Something about hay trucks on state route 46.

We do that also, use rte 11, a Virginia Byway, when going to Winchester or Harrisonburg. It takes us about fifteen minutes longer from Woostock.

When we moved to Annandale, VA in '64, the beltway was not yet completely opened, the section of Braddock Rd. along side of what is now George Mason University was gravel, and a Fairfax County cop directed trafic coming off the beltway during rush hour. Look at it now. Loudon County was the next to be Fairfaxed, and now Winchester is falling to the northern VA builders. We don't need that in the Valley. Maybe in your backyard, but not ours.

Hey mrwunrful, I have to adnmit traffic on route 11 (Main Street) is getting heavier. When we moved here seven years ago there would be no more than three cars backed up at a traffic light. Now there are as many as seven.
