Very unique places in wisconsin

I live in Wisconsin and this state has so much to offer. From the rolling hills of the Kettle Moraine eastern side along with Lake Michigan to the vast Northwood’s and the Coulee mountains that hold the Mississippi.
In all these areas I found very unique places to stay. In this topic please list to the world the really cool places that you may have found. And let’s list unique places other than the Dell’s everyone that Wisconsin is home of the Dell’s. Below are some of my favorites.
Cedarburg - The Washington House Inn www.washingtonhouseinn.com a very nice inn as well as the town many cool shops and lot’s of history.
Algoma- The Algoma Beach Hotel- web site ? Here you are right on Lake Michigan and out of your door you can have a camp fire on the beach cook what you want (we did shrimp & scallops) while listening to the waves. The town has a winery and great fish market.
La Crosse -Percheron Paradise Romantic Hideaway www.percheronparadise.com Here is for couples only (very secluded privacy ) and must see Chalets and a Bungalow. The romantic closeness we felt here was like no where we have ever been. La Crosse is loaded with shops and the scenery of the mountains was unreal. Mississippi boat cruises, 4 major biking trails and tons of hiking trails. Everything canoeing, ,fishing, golf, and more This part of the state reminds me of Tennessee or Kentucky a must see area.

How about your places we can all benefit from knowing about your trips.
I just wish I could post pictures

How about River Falls, WI? The Kinnickinnic river is a class A trout stream and a beautiful river for kayaking. When we moved here we were so amazed at the beautiful countryside around the area.

River Falls is great and there are a couple of really nice places to stay Kinni Creek Lodge or the Grand Stay. Do you know of any cabins or unique places to stay, and if so can you give us your input?

I love WIsconsin and plan to go back in May. Hoping for many more ideas like these. Door County is fun, but would like to try some different places. Thanks.

I have lived in Wisconsin most of my life and really I had never explored north west Wisconsin until about 10 years ago - and now I have fallen in love with the area -- all year round - Bayfield - the Apostle Islands - 22 of them and Madeline Island are my favorites - kayaking - sea caves - stone formations - the beaches - etc. etc. When you look at the history of the United States - sometimes we forget about the early fur traders and the early explorers who came through La Pointe and Northern Wisconsin - in the 1600's - long befoe Milwaukee, Chicago. Also Superior - and a number of state parks - great hiking and snowmobiling - fishing. For all you Wisconsinites -- take out a map and think 'what is northern Wisconsin' -- draw a line across - and you will be surprised what is still north - we are fortunate to have such a beautiful area to explore and enjoy -- summer - fall - autumn and winter.

I love Madeline Island as well. We did the trip going on up around Lake Superior and I know you go into Minnesota, but it was a great trip.
