Anchorage Late Night

Most probably I would have tried to move the flight up a day so even if you did arrive at 1 AM or so, you would have a day to relax and to sleep. Delta might still be able to accomodate you to do so. I also flew Delta to Alaska but it was in 2021 and things were still changing frequently as the airlines tried to gear up from the pandemic. Our flights also changed several times. We flew JFK to Minneapolis to Anchorage. The first flight changed leaving limited time to make the second flight which was doable but it is a large airport and the only way we would be able to get from one gate to another was to grab one of those shuttle vans that drive around .The return flight was pushed back but that was okay and it was a red-eye to Salt Lake. Both times that I have flown home from Alaska, the first on a Princess cruise from Vancouver in 2012 and the second in 2021, I flew back from Anchorage through SLC. My cousin who lives in Florida has a daughter who lives in Kenai and he always takes the Atlanta to Anchorage direct flight. When his daughter flies east she usually uses Alaska Air and changes planes in Seattle whether she is heading to NY or to Florida.
