Versailles Resturant-Cuban Caribbean- First rate Authentic Cuban Food

For a very good dinner in a large formica topped restaurant but NOT a diner go to Versaoilles and enjoy a wide variety of Cuban and some other Caribbean country dishes. It seats several hundred but does not seem crowded. The pullud beef with plantons and rice/beans for $11 cannot be beat. We eat there twice and the only entree that was averasge was the pot roast. The entrees were $9-$13 and appetizers were $5-$6 and deserts $3-$$. Cannot be beat and Very GOOD.

We had a good meal there, too. I wanted to get to other Cuban places, but we didn't have time. I'd go back to Versailles, though.

I'm going to Miami in April, how far is Little Havana from South Beach? I'm assuming we'd need to cab it.

There are at least 3 Versailles restaurants in the Los Angeles area that have great Cuban food, as well. They are famous for their roast garlic chicken (for about 8 dollars). You will smell like garlic for a few days, but its worth it. Great roast pork, too.

Wyatt92---Versailles is close enough for a cab ride from South Beach. Its definitely a "must-go" restaurant. Try the empanadas.

Glad to see that at least one thing in Miami hasn't changed. Versailles has always been *the* place for Cuban food!

Man I could go for a good bistec empanizada and some platanos maduros right now...followed by a cortadito!
