It's a long shot, but....

Calling all Miamians!

We are about to go out to dinner and we're looking for the following:

Cuisine: Cuban
Price: $10 avg.
Atmosphere: laid back neighborhood joint
Area: North Coconut Grove or Calle Ocho area.
Other: We only have an hour.

Any Suggestions?

The only one I know of that fits the bill is in South Beach on 8th and Collins called Puerto Sagua.

You'll have better luck checking Calle Ocho than Coconut Grove for your options. Look into StreetMiami.com.

The Versailles, of course. But I'm sure you've already been there.

Simple John, you can try Hugo's in downtown Coral Gables. Small place, fantastic food. I'm not sure if they're open for dinner since we ate there for lunch. Excellent!!!!

The only other place I know is Versailles in Miami. Not as good as Hugo IMO, but it's a really popular, well-known place.

Good luck! Hope you find some food!

Hi all!

A coworker suggested Ayestaran on southwest 27 Avenu just north of Calle Ocho. I thought of Versailles but if memory serves me correctly, the avg. prices are more than $10. Thanks all for your prompt reply and if you have more suggestions, please keep them comming. We go out almost every Friday for dinner and we are limited to that area due to the work schedule of someone in our group. Thanks all!

If you can drive over the bridge, Davids and Davids II are both excellent and cheap in South Beach.
