I would suggest coming in June. The new leaves will be out and the temps will be warmer.

There are so many beautiful spots in Vermont and many great hotels/Inn/B&Bs. I personally love Burlington and Stowe.
Hope this helps!

Vermont is a very beautiful state (so is New Hampshire). There are not many 'touristy' attractions here, but if you enjoy hiking, or just relaxing on the front porch of a beautiful mountainside inn, you will love Vermont. I would wait until at least early July, when black fly season is over! Spring in Northern New England is mud, rain, sleet, and black flies!

Adeeba,
I just found this post!
I looked after you mentioned posting, but could not find it.
While I agree with the other posters that june/july are beautiful, I must say that after 30 years of living in this state, that I think late September to the 2nd week in October would be the best time to visit.
(Although the weather can be cool and rainy)
Because you would see the most spectacular foliage (when all the decidious trees/leaves change color.)
Travelers come from over the world to see the leaves.
I *know* you do not have that where you live!
But, also knowing how you love gardening, and flowers, I would then agree that end of June or July would be a beautiful time.
And our tempertures only reach in the low 30s C!
DougD,
when you were listing the "joys" of spring here in Vermont, you forgot to mention the occasional snow!

Dear Adeeba, from Bennington, Vermont to Niagara Falls via route 90 is approximately 5 - 6 hours. 90 is the interstate in New York, and while it is not "the beautiful road", it is picturesque in places. If you want to travel through villages and lakeside communities it will take considerably longer. If time is not of the essence, I would spend some time crossing New York State after visiting Vermont. (but don't cut your trip short to Vermont to do it). Enjoy your stay. Marie
