Venice Beach

Hi,
My husband and I will be spending an few nights in Venice Beach in early July. We will be in walking distance to Abbott Kinney Blvd. Any great restaurant recommendations? Would love to hear from you.

Why not change the title to your question? Something like Need good restaurants near Venice Beach..you might get more answers. Sorry I no longer live in LA and don't know what is in now.

Joe's and Chaya are both very popular and very good. Neither is a bargain place....Lula is also a lot of fun. Altho Lula is nominally in Santa Monica, it is walkable from Vencie, and probably a better mode of transportation, post-margaritas....

I read a review about a little Italian restaurant that's opened on the Venice Beach boardwalk. It's supposed to be true Italian. I can't remember its name, though. Anyone know? (I'm not referring to the larger Italian restaurant that's around the corner from the boardwalk. That one's good for family fare, but not really special.)
