Vegas Shows

Thank you to everyone for your tips regarding my Vegas trip!! Looks like we'll be staying at the MGM, taking a taxi from the airport. Now I've looked into a lot of shows--we're most interested in the Cirque du Soleil shows, but I'm looking for suggestions of other shows too. I've heard there are a couple cool nude shows, such as the Crazy Horse Paris at MGM. There are four of us girls going, is it going to be hard to get 4 tickets when we get there? Should we be buying tickets now? We'll be there from Tuesday-Saturday, so we can either get weekday or weekend tickets (I'm hoping weekdays are a little cheaper?)
Let me know your favorite Vegas shows!

Not likely especially for shows that have been running for years. Unless we're seeing a headline act or one of the Cirque shows during the first few years of a run, my wife and I prefer to keep our options open and not get tickets ahead of time. (Even then we had no problem getting same day tickets back when Seigfried and Roy were doing their thing.)

With so many different things to do, I think you may want to play things a bit by ear as you've never been there. (From what I gather.)

BTW, one of my favorite Vegas things is Cook E. Jarr at Harrah's Carnival Court. Real old style Vegas lounge singer.

We got tickets for "O" at 25% discount online, I booked and paid for them before our trip! Check on the website at Bellagio... we got 2nd row seating.. and with a nice discount of course!

We also saw Ka, hubby enjoyed Ka more than O, and I enjoyed O more than Ka.

We did the Folies Bergiere, the topless show 2 years ago, but it had uncomfortable seating.. so we left early...

Have fun!!

Cirque is running a big "Summer of Cirque" promotion with tickets starting at $50. They rarely have this big a discount, so I'd jump on it soon. I'd recommend Mystere, LOVE, and O.

If you want to see a Cirque show, buy that early. For the other nights, look for a Tix 4 Tonight booths. Get some coffee and head over about 9:30 or 10 (they can open early if they have a line). Once you buy one ticket from them, the next day you can use the VIP line, which is shorter, and save a few dollars on the next ticket too.

We loved Jersey Boys - I was surprised at how much of the music we knew. Great storyline too. People in the audience were up and dancing at the end, and it got a standing ovation.
