Vegas.. Paris or MGM??

We can't make up our mind, as we have offers for both. We enjoy the pool in the morning, and like a nice clean room.
The size of the MGM is scaring me a bit after reading about it.
Can I have your opinion?

I didn't care for the pool at Paris. The rest of the hotel was very nice and it is in a great location.

I think the MGM pool is better (but not the best on the strip) and yes the complex is huge but it was not 'scary' in any sense. It is pretty easy to find your way around once you get your bearings set.

I think Paris is a better choice because of its location. Very centrally located on the strip.

As another poster said, the breakfast buffet at Paris is excellent.

We've stayed at Paris twice - rooms are nice. I have not stayed at MGM, so I can't compare.

The MGM isn't scary but it is huge, I would prefer Paris myself.

I have stayed at the MGM but not at Paris. With that said I really enjoyed the MGM except for the fact that things were really spread out. It felt like you walked for miles within the complex. I have gambled at both and I very much prefer the casino at the MGM.

Paris location is way better and mid-strip just is simply more convenient. I do not think the MGM pool is the best on the strip, better then Paris, true, but I'd still prefer Paris over MGM.

Mirage has a lovely pool - if that's a very important feature, you should consider it.

MGM will have tons of kids - that might be a consideration.

I would chose the more centrally located Paris hotel. You will be close to Bellagio, Caesar's Palace, and Venetian which are all fun for walking around (great high-end window shopping in all three). MGM has a nicer pool area. You just have to figure out what is more important to you.

I forgot about the pool area at the MGM. It really is nice. By far the best on the strip. The few times we have been there, it has never been crazy with a lot of kids. If you are into a pool, I would stick with the MGM.

If pool is a big criteria, go to MGM.

If you like being in the heavy traffic and walking mobs of mid-Strip, you will like Paris better. I dislike that aspect of the Strip, the cabs don't even want to take you there. They will, but they complain and I had one refusal. Yes, I don't know how they stay in business with that attitude. Too many tourists, that's how.

All told, the MGM size and color pattern drives me crazy, but I do like some of their restaurants and love their Sports Book. Also easy in, easy out in a car, and a good pool.

Other than that, the room, general decore and casino is better at Paris.

I also vote for the Mirage it has the best pool if that is a consideration. I assume it is since you mention it. I did see the MGM's pool and trust me it doesn't even compare at all. I didn't see the Paris pool but I heard and I saw pictures that is was rather blah with a lot of cement. There are very few kids at the Mirage. There is a kiddie pool. I would think that the MGM pool might be better than Paris, but hotel wise I liked the Paris barring pools as an issue.

These days, the MGM pools blow away Mirage. Nice adult-only pool and a variety of others, plus the ``lazy river'' is a nice diversion.

If you aren't in the pools area at the MGM, you don't get the full effect of how nice this is. I was there years before and it didn't seem nearly as nice.
