Planning a bachelorette weekend to one of these in late Feb/early March of next year. Which one and why?

Atlantis is beautiful and lots of fun, and would be great if you all like water activities. However, the casino there is relatively small, and the night life is limited (small club and a comedy club). It is also much more expensive than Las Vegas. So even though Atlantis is my favorite vacation spot, I think you may like Vegas more for this type of event.

Vegas! Cheaper, friendlier, and the service in restaurants and bars is much better. Also, there is a larger variety of places to go in Las Vegas for nightlife.

Simply type in 'Atlantis' and you'll read 75% heavy bashing of this heavily overpriced, very overvalued, crowded, cheaply built, tacky decorated, Atlantic City on an island.
For a bachelorette weekend, you may not care.
But be forewarned, the food is horrible, the prices 4 times higher than Vegas, and there's not much in the way of entertainment.

I'd vote Vegas all the way.

Atlantis can't be that bad.
The ads look really impressive.
Someone just had a sour experience there I'm sure.

Have enjoyed both but for what you're looking for I'd say definitely Vegas. There is just so much more to do in LV than at Atlantis. When we were in Atlantis, there were lots of families. Enjoy!

I have been to both also & think a lot depends on your taste. I love a beach & if your group likes being outdoors, Atlantis would be better. It is more expensive & service can be poor. Good luck.

Vegas, Vegas, Vegas!!!!!!
I live in S. FLA which is a 45 min. flight from Atlantis and never go there anymore! I rather fly across the country to Vegas! Atlantis is sooo overpriced and there is NO nightlife ( just a few lounges) It is boring!!!! I know some will disagree w/ me but for a fun Bachelorette weekend you definitely want to be in Vegas - the hotel poools are awesome so you don't need the beach or you can stay at Mandalay bay and have a beach there, too! Also, if you leave the Atlantis property and are all women you will not fell comfortable at night - my friend and I once tried to take a cab to Nassau ( again, b/c of no nightlife at Atlantis) and he wouldn't even take us to 1/2 the places we had heard about- said it was too dangerous for us.- Have Fun in Vegas - too much Fun!

Definitely choose Vegas. We recently priced a 4 night vacation at Atlantis and it would have cost MORE than a 7 day cruise with a balcony cabin, and that price didn't even include food! There are so many bargains, both flight wise and hotel wise, for Vegas. Plus there is so much more to do there. Unless the beach/ocean is a high priority I wouldn't even consider Atlantis. Like a few have mentioned above, the accommodations and level of service are far below the prices they charge. It's a no brainer.

Vegas all the Way!! Been to the Bahamas (Nassau) and did not like it! Blah!! Love Vegas, so much fun.. Party atmosphere...

Definitly Vegas.....I went to Atlantis 2 years ago even though it was great...activities are limited after sundown......vegas is your best bet
