Vegas hotels

Looking for clean, quiet, some luxury. Looking to spend about $120 a night in May, which is slow season. Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome to Fodor's! It has been a few years since I stayed in LV but the hotel that fits your criteria that i stayed at was the Luxor. It is the pyramid shaped hotel/casino at the south end of the Strip. The inclinators in the corners of the building are a little strange to ride on. I'm sure there are others a little farther north that will also meet your desire. It's probably wise to come to Las Vegas in May before it gets very hot. Are you coming for a particular event (sporting, cultural or wedding)?

Hi! Check out Park MGM Las Vegas. I am not sure if it is in the bugdet, but if you participate in Booking.com loyalty program or you are a WayAway Plus subscriber, then you probably will have some discount

Welcome to Fodors. Depends whether you are talking weekdays or weekends. Assuming there are no big trade shows/conventions during your dates, Sun-Thurs bookings should fit within your budget at all but the very poshest/high end properties. Fri-Sat are a whole different matter - then you'l likely get nothing but off-strip motels.

Also if you are talking on or around Memorial Day weekend all bets are off.

You will find that rates are very date-specific. So when will you be in LV?

what janisj said

also, keep an eye out for resort fees and parking fees that might be added to the room rate.

Does your budget include resort fees? That will add another $40-50 a night. Parking if you need it can run another $20-30 or more a night. If you have some level of casino loyalty program status, these fees can be waived. If you don't but have status with Hyatt, Wyndham or Celebrity/Royal Caribbean, you can status match to MGM or Caesars for fee waivers.

For some luxury you'll want to stick to weekdays. On weekends even low end Strip hotels will be above that price point.

Park MGM is a good suggestion. I think it's one of the better values on the Strip for what it offers. If your budget can stretch a bit, I would also look at Nomad which is a boutique hotel on the top 4 floors of Park MGM that has its own check-in area and separate pool. We've stayed at Nomad a few times and it's a calm oasis compared to the rest of Vegas. Another property that might fit what you're looking for but again will be a bit above your budget is Vdara. It's a non-gaming hotel attached to Aria so will be much quieter. For MGM properties if you join their rewards program you automatically get 15% off of room rates or sometimes more depending on what promos they're running.
