Vegas buffets - 3 nights ... which are the 3 best buffets?
I have 3 nights in Vegas and want to sample 3 different buffet dinners.
What are people's advice given the following criteria...
1st night) best dinner buffet $10-$15?
2nd night) best dinner buffet $15-$20?
3rd night) best dinner buffet $20+
ALSO, is the Rio Seafood buffet worth $30?
thanks for your advice ....

For cheap buffets: any of the "Station" casinos
Expensive Buffets: Bellagio, Paris(if you like Frenchie foods)
Haven't had the Rio seafood buffet but most say "no go". Bellagio has plenty of seafood in their buffet including shrimp, king crab legs, and every type of fillet of fish I've heard of, and sushi (but it's so-so compared to a real made to order sushi bar).

I agree on the Station buffets. Texas Station was our favorite.
We did the Rio seafood buffet and everything was good, although not the best seafood I've had in my life. There was so much to choose from, though. Haven't been to any other seafood buffets in Vegas, so honestly can't compare it to anywhere else.

Sushi House Manda, not a buffet, but made to order all you can eat sushi.
Very good. The last time I was there I went early because of evening plans and for the first 30 minutes I had a chef to myself. He recomended things and if I wanted something that took very long to make, he asked if I wanted something else to eat while waiting.
I think it was $24. There was also a coupon for free saki in one of the Vegas magazines.

My wife and I enjoyed the buffet at Main Street station very much when we were in Vegas in Feb. I think the price was around $12 and we happened to go on Filet Mignon and Shrimp Scampi night. It was delicious and they had plenty of different foods to choose from on top of that. The desserts were very average.
Have fun!

for your 3rd night, no-holds-barred, over $20 buffet, do me a favor and go to the bellagio -- $35 will never buy you so much. it is not to be believed. one caveat, get there early, gamble, and get a vip pass so that you don't have to wait in line with the great unwashed.

Just come back from Vegas and tried a LOT of buffets while I was there.
The best was Mandalay Bay, followed closely by Bellagio.
I did go to the Rio buffet, which has seafood in it (crab, sushi etc). The variety is amazing, but the quality isn't the best, but then I'd been spoiled the the Mandalay !
If you want to check out the spread first, ask to do so before you pay, that way you can decide if you like what you see.

I think Bellagio is the best buffet. Very large selection and great food quality. The Rio seafood buffet was definitely large, and I thought it was very good. My boys loved it. But if you only want one expensive buffet, pick Bellagio over Rio.

Gotta side with ClarkGriswold on this one.
I have never had seafood at an inland restaurant which can match the best seafood served at the best coastal seafood restaurants.
Putting a dead fish on ice and jetting off to another part of the country still does something to diminish the product IMO.
I don't know how the transport/delivery process differs for coastal restaurants, but whether real or imagined, I sense a difference.
Some of the best coastal seafood I've had wasn't even all that pricey.

I have commented on the Bellagio's excellence before in regard to a different question (the best hotel to stay at) and now I must also comment on the buffet....excellent, bountiful, a must...I agree with everyone else who thinks so!! Have at it, pay the $, you won't be sorry.
