Used FF miles to get to SFO from BOS next summer to cut down on costs of flights to Hawaii....but right now, flights to Hawaii are the same prices from BOS and SFO!

You asked -- Did you just go online and click on "multiple cities" or did you call and talk to them?
I just clicked multiple cities using online reservations. The only red eye we couldn't avoid was the OGG to LAX where we left late at night and got into LAX at around 6:30 in the morning. That was tough with a little one in tow but we did fine.

Another idea for your FF miles--you can't change the cities, but you can change the dates, so perhaps you could do a trip to SFO at a later time!
We lucked out enormously earlier this month when we booked our Hartford-Kona trip--$600 RT, which at Christmas, is phenomenal.
