urgent enquiry

I am being informed that for any tourist booking discovery line cruises from Fort Lauderdale Florida to Grand Bahama has to pay 199$ per person as "Cruise Service line charges".On enquiring details I have been told that they are actually ::
"Port and immigration fees are fee consists of Port tax- Immigration tax - Service fee- processing fee- and a Federal User Tax."

I tried to book via travel agent ( who has booked our hotels) and they mention they will pay for my return trip for Discover line cruises including 3 course meal , only thing I need to pay is "Cruise line service charges" which is 199$ per person ( same fare for my children).I mentioned cruises cost 129$ per person and 35$ tax ( as on net).Still They are insisting the port and immigration fees are in addition to those and that need to be paid by every single visitor who goes on a cruise.

Can you please guide me how I can clarify ?I will be highly obliged if you could guide me any relevant website/authority where I can complain/raise concern about my travel agent?

Hope you understand because of lack of this information I am being misguided/misinformed and so I am not able to book my cruises as soon as possible.

Please reply soon,

Is this a one day cruise? Doing a simple search online for Discovery cruise AND fees it looks like the fees should be $35/person as you say and you can get it for a lot less than $129/person. http://www.discoverycruiseline.com/s...rida_residents http://www.discoverycruiseline.com/home/day_cruise

Thanks for reply. All my query is Are you aware of anything like "Port tax- Immigration tax - Service fee- processing fee- and a Federal User Tax." I feel like misguided as I believe that my travel agent is asking for more than what should be the real expense. If i can get some authentic evidence than it will help me to strongly put my protest against the travel agent. Please do reply asap

Why the need to protest against the travel agent? I'd just take my business elsewhere - that's how I would protest. You can book directly on the internet or find a different travel agent.

Sounds like one of those scammy deals like when they offer "free airline flight" if you book 7 days hotel, then you pay twice as much for your hotel than you should have, so it's not really a free flight.

Do a google search on the name of the travel agency to see if other complaints have been noted.
