Universal Studios....please suggest intinerary for 2-day only

We (2 adults/2 teens)only have two full days to enjoy Univ.Studio. We will staying on the grounds at Porofino Bay Hotel, which includes the early admission passes. We visited Univ. several yrs. before the opening of the new part. So we probably don't need to revisit the older part. (Not interested in Disney this time, only Universal)
Also, what resturants do you suggest? Anything need to be booked ahead?
Any info. will be greatly appreciated.

I think that you are in for quite a surprise... you will not be able to recongize the place!

If it's been several years since you've been there, you'll find lots of new things in Universal Studios. For instance, Men In Black: Alien Attack, Terminator 2:3D, Twister, etc.

Islands of Adventure (the new park) has to be one of the best theme parks anywhere. Just a piece of advice: take a change of clothes with you or be prepared to walk around in wet clothes for a while. Some of the best attractions (Dudley Do-Right's, Popeye's and Jurassic Park) are water rides. You'll get soaked, but they are way too much fun to miss, especially Popeye's.

Have lunch / dinner at Mythos, the restaurant in The Lost Continent at Islands of Adventure.

And another thing... by staying onsite not only you get early entry, YOU DON'T HAVE TO make lines! Go to the Universal Express queue, and show them the key to your room...

The best ride in the WORLD is at Islands of Adventure. Spiderman. WoW. (Do a search and you'll find a thread with tons of discussion.) I was there last Christmas with my 19 and 22 year old "kids."

Thanks for the info. FYI we have been to Univ. Studios since the opening of Twister, Terminator, etc. so we won't have to divide our time and go to both parks. Yea!
Have either of you stayed at Potofino? If so, what room location do you suggest? I really would like to call ahead and request a certain room. One more thing, could you describe the pool.
To Diane: how do I find the search you wrote about?
Thanks.

Talka leisurely wlk (or the water shuttle!) to Islands OA early on your first day. Make sure to go to Spiderman, Hulk Coaster, Fire and Ice - AWESOME RIDES!!! You can go back and forth between parks (IOA ans Studios) as much as you like, walking along Citywalk (nice distraction). Make sure to go right up to the Express Line with your Hotel Room key. Flash it and VIOLA! you are in the front of the line! Have a ball!

We stayed at the Hard Rock recently, and with the front of the line access it is totally possible to do a park a day and have down time.

We would get to the parks at the open time, do the entire park, including lunch and shopping and be back at the pool by 3 or 4 pm.

While the regular line lengths were 1-1/2 to 2 hrs we never had to wait more than 10 minutes - and most times less than 5. It was awesome.

So relax and don't pick and choose - do them both.

Also, because you are staying on-site - you get priority seating at ll City Walk restaurants.

It's the only way to go!
