ultimate privacy

I am hoping that someone can help me. I am due for a vacation and I am planning a trip to California. I have to attend a cousins wedding in Malibu, so I have to stay within a reasonable vicinity to my family there. I am, however, looking for a place to stay that can offer me a great deal of privacy. I know LA and the area is a very busy place, but I would like my downtime to be very quiet, with not many people around me. Maybe a place where there are seperate cabanas, or seperate hot tubs, pools, and the like. I don't know of any place like that, and I am hoping one exists. Price is really not important, as I rarely take advantage of my vacation time at work...and I am really looking to "do it up!" Thanks for any advice you may offer!

The San Ysidro Ranch outside of Santa Barbara. It's where Jack and Jackie honeymooned and near where the Reagan's have their ranch. Secluded, rustic and very upscale. During the day you can come down to Santa Barbara if you want more people around.

This has got to be one of the WORST titles ever. How do you expect people with any information about luxury or private hotels close to Malibu to pick that up from "ultimate privacy"?

re post it with a sensible title and I'll bet you get a lot of response.

(Clicking on California doesn't do anything except allow someone to search. Your thread is mixed in with the entire USA.)

Try the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset or the Hotel Bel Air. I believe both have cottages, although I'm not sure about private pools.

The Bel Air is all about discretion and privacy and seclusion. Expensive, needs updating, but still very nice.

A perfect title! (Except you could have added "in LA"). And those who know privacy have responded. Your problem is which of the three great suggestions to follow.
