two lane tunnel
Hello I live near San Francisco. But I guess I don't know much about two lane highway tunnels. A photographer friend of mine needs to take a photo of a two lane tunnel, with the center white diving line, from the inside of the tunnel. It needs to be long so that the light at the end looks a long way off. But the tunnel should also be something he could safely stand in to take the photo and not get killed. It also should be relatively car free so that at times it will be empty. Does anyone know of a tunnel or tunnels like this near San Francisco? We would appreciate the help. We will send a free book with the picture on the cover to whoever can tell us where to find such a tunnel. Please email me. Thanks. R.K.

Why would a tunnel be car free? Late at night, AM hours, perhaps?
To take a photo safely he can use a convertible while you do the driving.
How many lines in the Caldecott?
Also if you take Caltrain, there are 2 or 3 long tunnels, but it's train, not highway. And I doubt pedestrains are allowed.
E-mail you? No, thanks.

Thank you for the information. I didn't mean that there would never be cars just not so conjested. I guess he'd have to go outside the city area to some small town or something. And I didn't want a personal email, only one if there was some great spot. I guess it is hard to find. Thanks--Rose
