Two days in Seatlle

For our 25th anniversary, we have time for a short trip: two days in Seattle and two days to Las Vegas to renew vows in a fun way. In Seattle, we'd like to dine in the
Space Needle. Do you know the restaurant's name? Can we get reservations? Where should we stay? What else "must" we do when we visit? Thanks!

I'm not sure of the restaurants name but they do take reservations,,never had dinner there but have had their Sunday brunch, and its very good.Well worth the $$$..
A nice place to stay is the Edgewater Hotel, right on the bay, great view and close to alot of the attracions..Pike Street market and the water front, not to be missed.
Something a little out of the ordinary would be the Seattle "underground tour"
If you didnt know, part of downtown Seattle was destroyed by fire back it the early 1900's. Instead of tearing things down they just built right over the top of the old buildings, forming a time capsule. The tour starts out in an old tavern in Pioneer square,,the one with the canopy out front that says "undergrouand tour"
Tour guides take you down into some of the old shops, an old movie theater, and give you a little history alone the way. Very interesting and also the guides are very entertaining,Budding comidians..

Info on the restaurant and everything else is at http://www.spaceneedle.com/ The restaurant is now called "Sky City" although I doubt if 50 people in Seattle would recognize the name. Reservations are a must. Don't expect the world's best food, although the view is hard to beat anywhere short of the Rainbow Room.

Stay at the Inn at the Market, with a bay view if you can get it. The restaurants on the ground floor, Campagne and Cafe Campagne, have great French food (the cafe more like a bistro). http://www.innatthemarket.com
With just 2 days, limit yourselves to the city, with the addition of a walk-on ferry ride to Bainbridge Island, returning at sunset.

As far as the Las Vegas part is concerned, good luck (also congratulations!)

As mentioned above, don't expect the best food for your money at the Space Needle. It is a great view though (turns 360 degrees in one hour). The Seattle Center (surrounding the Space Needle) is fun, as is Pike Street Market and shopping the waterfront (if it's a sunny day). I've heard the Underground Tour is VERY touristy so be prepared for that. The Edgewater is very nice (newly remodeled to a very up-scale Ralph Lauren style, red-plaid, knotty pine, rustic-cabin decor. Make sure you get a room on the water side. Have you considered a bed-and-breakfast? The Queen Ann area has beautiful Victorian B&B's. Happy anniversary!
