I have stayed at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers on 7th at 52nd. It's fine. Room was pretty standard. Bathroom was small. The Sheraton Manhattan, one block closer to Times Square typically has the same rates as the Hotel & Towers, so I would presume their accommodations are similar.
The other Sheraton I was referring to is the Sheraton Russell, which is not in the Times Square area.
If you decide on the Sheraton, continue to watch their website. Last summer, I got a $159/night rate for weeknights that was non-cancellable and non-refundable and available only through their website. That is considered a very good rate for a weeknight stay. Weekends are often less expensive, but not always.

They're all convenient to the Times Square area. The Marquis is on Times Square; the Millennium is less than a 1/2 block off Times Square, while the others are well within walking distance.
As for the two Sheratons, the Sheraton New York (on 7th Ave., spanning 52nd & 53rd) is slightly better than the Sheraton Manhattan (diagonally across on 7th Ave., spanning 51st and 52nd).
I'd probably go with the Millennium.
