seetheworld,

The fishy song is very near and dear to this former Brownie's heart. I think the song goes:

"Have you ever seen a fishy on a cold winter day? Have you ever seen a fishy out swimmin' in the bay? With his hands in his pockets and his pockets in his pants, have you ever seen a fishy do the hootchie cootchie dance? You never have! You never will!"

Learned it almost twenty years ago and I still remember the little dance that goes with it. :D

Great thread!

I have:

* been to Colonial Williamsburg

* gone to Boston, and visited site of Boston Tea Party

* carved pumpkins

* eaten watermelon on the fourth of july, as well as fried chicken and potato salad

* visited Chalmette battlefield in Louisiana, and looked at the clover with red splashes on the leaves, said to symbolize the spilled blood of Confederate soldiers.

* danced the two step at a fais do do, then eaten boiled crawfish, corn on the cob, and sausage from a huge pot.

* taken a paddlewheel cruise down the Mississippi River, and thought about Tom and Huck.

* thanked God I was born in a country where ANYONE, even if they're born poor white trash, can aspire to become the President of the United States.

* dated a man I normally wouldn't have looked at twice, but for the fact that he had an English accent!!!

Have you ever gone to Canada for dinner just because you can?

Have you ever had chicken wings in Buffalo?

Have you ever seen Niagara fall? (Not falls....but fall?)

Have you ever eaten an apple fresh-picked from a tree?

And...as someone else mentioned....have you ever driven on Daytona Beach?

Have you ever rode your bike hoping you don't run into sand flies (especially if you live near the Niagara River)?

Have you ever lived in a neighborhood where almost everyone is of the same ethnicity, yet a few blocks away everyone else shares a different ethnicity, yet you all get along?
