Trip to SF - Restaurant HELP!

My trip to SF is slowly approaching and I am trying to nail down restuarants to eat in. We will only be in SF for two nights.

Our first night for dinner we would like to go for Sushi and/or seafood, the choices are:

Aqua
Ozumo
Kabuto A & S

Our second night we would like to go for Italian, the choices are:

Acquerello
Delfina

Please help us decide which restaurants to go to or if you have other suggestions, that would be great.

For brunch we plan on going to Catch - does anyone have any other recommendations? We don't want anything too pricey - definitely must serve omelets, pancakes or waffles -yum!

Thanks for your help!

If you go to Catch be sure to double-check your bill. Locals on Craigslist.org have said that the restaurant sometimes throws on a 15% gratuity automatically - for small parties - without letting the customer know.

Aqua

Delfina

But if you really want sushi it's a different story. I'd go to Ozumo, I guess.

I've been to Ozumo about a half dozen times, but all at the lunch hour. Kabuto was my absolute favorite for a long while, but I have not stopped in since they moved to their new shop. The "style" of sushi at Kabuto was always rather austere - focusing on the immaculate freshness of the fish and simple presentations rather than cute names for various rolls. Have the itamae-san (sushi chef) make you a "tataki" with fresh bonito. It's the forefather of all the seared-tuna dishes you've ever had.

My husband and I had a FABULOUS meal at Aqua last month. I posted a report, you can search with my name and San Fran.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. It is such a hard decision, there are so many restaurants to choose from.

I think we are going to go to Ozumo for sushi and possibly Delfina for Italian.

Is there one place we definitely MUST go to while we are in SF? I really don't want to miss out.

SFImporter - thanks for the heads up, we will definitely keep an eye on the bill.

Any suggestions for a lunch place in Sausalito???

Thanks again!

If you're looking for a place you definitely should go to, I would recommend Swans on Polk street. Primarily a lunch place but it is an institution. Fresh oysters, crab and other seafood items. Don't be put off by the small counter seating and long lines out the door. Get there early for lunch and you shouldn't have a wait.

Thanks for the suggestions. Can't wait for our trip! Again, if anyone can recommend additional places to eat or some place we must go see while in SF, please let me know. Suggestions and recommendations are always welcomed.

We loved BOULEVARD down near the Embarcarado (spelling ?). Reservations are a must, and we had a fantastic meal there. Have fun!

I am not sure if you want to travel a bit but my all time favorite restaurant is in Palo Alto . It is St. Michael's Alley on Emerson.
