Trip report for Niagara
We went to Niagara on the Lake this weekend, actually just one night.
We stayed at the Harbour House Hotel. It was magnificent!!! The rooms were extremely comfortable and luxurious.
Sat. night we at dinner at The Charles Inn. It was very relaxing with good food and service.
If anyone is looking for a quick destination (I guess it depends where you live), I recommend Niagara on the Lake. It was wonderful.

Glad you enjoyed yourself. It is such a charming town. I'll have to look into the Harbour House - my husband and I live about 45 mins away from NOTL and it makes for a nice getaway.
I actually stayed in Niagara Falls this weekend, at the Sheraton Fallsview. Let me know if you ever decide to come back to this area and need a recommendation.

There are actually two Sheratons:
The Sheraton Fallsview (where I stayed) is the last hotel on the "strip", past the new Niagara Fallsview Casino, and overlooks the Horseshoe Falls. We chose this location because it has a concierge level and we wanted the free food that comes along with it. It turns out that the free hors d'ouevres and cont'l bkft were nothing much. But, the view from our suite was fantastic (husband is Starwood platinum so we were upgraded).
The Sheraton on the Falls is next to the older casino, Casino Niagara. It looks over the Bridal falls, with the American & Horseshoe in the distance. This Sheraton is supposed to have better views but I have never stayed there myself. We'll try this hotel out next time.
The Embassy Suites did look like a good choice as well. It is angled so that the rooms face the inside of the Horseshoe. The only drawback might be that there is so much mist, I'm not sure if you can see past it.
