Trip report--Boston/Cape Cod
I just got back from our long weekend in Boston and Cape Cod. Here are the highlights! Boston: Freedom Trail was great, Mike's Pastries was to die for (North End--yummy deserts and pastries), Giacomo's for dinner (North End)--delicious!, Skip Jacks--good seafood, Blue Man Group--hilarious--the small theatre made it a great experience, Omni Parker House--got a great rate the week before--our room was pretty small, but not unbearable. The location alone was reason-enough to stay there. I'd recommend it!
Cape Cod: Stayed at the Nantucket House Bed and Breakfast in Chatham. It was quaint, great breakfasts, large rooms (small bathrooms), friendly owners, good location (close to a beach, 3 miles from Chatham center). I loved it and would recommend it to anyone! The restaurant next door--Pisces--was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Whale watching, National Seashore, shopping/walking in Chatham and Provincetown, Heritage Plantation, and lots of great seafood. We loved it!
Definitely bring comfy shoes for both Boston and Cape Cod. Be flexible with your plans this time of year--we had a few afternoons with clouds, showers, and wind, so we just altered our plans slightly. It was a great trip and I'd recommend the location to anyone! Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks for the trip update- I am glad that your trip to Chatham was nice and that the Nantucket House worked out so well. You had asked about it a few weeks ago and I don't think i was to helpful so I was happy to read that you enjoyed had a good experience- it sounded perfect. Also, what kind of rest. is Pisces? is it on Rt 28? Thanks!

Hi,
Just read your response to your trip to Boston & Cape Cod. We're heading there this weekend and I've jotted down some of your favorite eating spots. First time in this area, so your letter was very helpful. I'll let you know how our trip turns out.

Cathy--Pisces is on 28 near 137 (a small yellow house near the corner of Forest Beach Road). I'm having a hard time categorizing it--they had a wide variety on the menu. I had lobster and asparagus ravioli, my mother had grilled salmon. They had great bread and caesar salads. We had Bananas Foster for desert. I hope that helps. It was about $75 for two (salad, meal, desert, 2 drinks each).
