Tribeca Film Festival

I will be in New York the week of the festival. I don't know much about it but it sounds interesting. Any tips from people who have been?

yes get an American Express Card - sign up for the newsletter - read the film list when it comes out and buy tickets for what you want to attend as soon as you can after the tickets are on sale. It is a fun festival!

SueNYC--

Why an American Express Card?

And I saw some comments about TOAST on here earlier and tried to look up info on the internet but couldn't find much. Will there be more info once it gets closer to time?

You want an AmEx card because the single movie tickets go on sale to AmEx customers on April 13, but do not go on sale to the general public til April 19.

No emd3 - the list on line for TOAST right now is last year's. But, watch that space and this year's WILL appear. I will post about it sometime soon.

Just a note - Geoffrey Gilmore, who was Director of the Sundance Film Festival for something like the last 20 years is now with the Tribeca Festival. 2009 was his last year with Sundance if I remember correctly.

What films are looking interesting to you all who are going? We have Fri. night April 23 and Sat. night April 24 and am trying to decide what to see, assuming we can get tickets when the single ticket sales open up.

Is anyone going to the American Express Starwood Card showing of the Ed Burns film at the Westin Times Square on Sat night April 24? This is an invitational event and we got an email about it since we have n AmEx Starwood card. Showing of the film, talk and meet and mingle w/the director and actors, appetizers, cocktails. We are going.

TOAST is free unless you buy some art -- No Starwood card -- I have a niece who is way up in their corporate world but I'd never ask her and she's in AZ not local. ENJOY!! It should be fun.
