Tremont Hotel Chicago

Has anyone stayed here recently? It gets mixed reviews and although I am not a picky person when it comes to hotels, I do not want mold and mildew in my bathroom (pictures from tripadvisor). I am trying to bet on hotels on priceline and this hotel is one of the possibilities. Thanks..

I haven't, but the last review of this place (from a March 2007 stay) on BiddingForTravel.com wasn't very charitable. And the one before that (September 2007) made it sound awful.

I don't know what your budget is or what your dates are, but a 4* in that Priceline zone seems to be available for dates in May and June for prices in the $72-$120 range (according to winning bids posted on BiddingForTravel).

Hope this helps. Good luck!

It's been awhile since I've stayed in the Tremont, but all of my visits were great -- ask for a corner room; they're really big.

The Tremont's location can't be beat.

Tripadvisor? It attracts negative people and professional whiners.

I've stayed at the Tremont, and as another poster said, the location can't be beat. Ditka's Restaurant is in the hotel as well and Da Coach usually is in the upstairs bar in the evening.

Now about the hotel itself. It's badly in need of renovation. That said, if you can get it for under $100/night, I think you will be ok.
