Rather than read a handful of replies which will show up here during the next several days, why not get all the info you want at once?
3 best ways: 1) type in "Treasure Island" in the text search box above to read hundreds of opinions from recent posters. 2) go to www.cheapovegas.com which has extensive details about ALL the hotels and how they compare. 3) also try www.lvol.com
Far more info than you'll need at these 3.

I use to stay at TI so when I was in Vegas this last week I took my boyfriend there to see it. We were waiting for the ship fight and decided to play some cards to pass the time. I can't believe how rude and unfriendly the dealers were!!! It never use to be like that! I would never stay there or play there again.
I had a suite at Harrah's and it was awesome!! Plus the people there are so nice!!

To Reed: I have done a text search on Treasure Island back to the year 2000 and although I found plenty of information I have yet to find a responce from anyone who has stayed in one of the petite-suites there muchless someone who has compared them to some of the nicer hotels in Las Vegas. As far as www.cheapovegas.com, I had already checked the site. I liked it very much, but wonder if the information might not be a bit outdated (do they ever update these travel sites?). It list Treasure Island as a good value just as it also list Caesars Palace, yet not Bellagio. When checking prices, I have found a room at Bellagio (lakeveiw yet!) at the same price as the rooms at Caesars, yet have read very few people on this site who think that Caerars is a better hotel than Bellagio. Why do you see so many responces tell people to do a travel search or use other travel sites. I thought the purpose of this site was to be able to get responces and opinions from real travelers, not travel information that is years old.

Relax Mike, the search was a suggestion since quite a few people ask a question without doing a search first.
Hope you find more info on Treasure Island. I'm getting a standard room for June at a rate of $59.00 per night. Never been to Vegas before, so I can't help you compare.
Good luck!

Mike,we stayed at the treasure island hotel last august. we were booked into a petite suite for 1 week. It was absolutely fantastic, you won't be disappointed and your getting an excellent value for 130.00 .weve stayed in rooms for $500.00 a night that can't compare. By the way we've stayed at most of the strip hotels. have fun!

I believe you will be happy with your choice. Since a lot depends on personal tastes, I'll say this. I stayed at TI my last visit to Las Vegas and really enjoyed it. I enjoy staying in the Hyatts and Hiltons when I travel, and feel that the Ritz's etc. are too fancy for my taste. So Treasure Island was nice and modern with plenty of amenities but a casual atmosphere for relaxing. Didn't stay in a petite suit, but I enjoyed my standard room, so I am sure the suit is a step in the right direction. I thought our service was excellent and rooms were clean and plenty big. Have fun!
