Travelling between Philadelphia and Savannah

I'll be travelling along Philly and Savannah on the I-95 in the next 3 weeks and wanted to find somewhere along the interstate worthwhile of staying overnite to divide up the trip. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Once you get past Richmond, there is nothing really great until Savannah. I'd just stop at any one of the interstate chains when you get tired.

I traveled from orlando, Fl to Alexandria, Va
We did the I-95 for a while but we prefered the US-17, nicer views and more fun. We stopped at Savannah, GA, Charleston, SC (great city, New Bern, NC (gorgeous) and Alexandria, VA. We loved it, historic places, great restaurans and hotels. Good luck on your trip

I'll vouch for US 17. It'll take you off I-95 and along the coasts of NC and SC. If you plan to stop along the way, stop at Myrtle Beach, SC. Good hotels, food, and entertainment.

Totally agree with rt 17 recomendations..Ive done it many many times from philly..Why not take rt 13 so of wilmington del to the chasepeake bay bridge tunnel..Its a wonderful 18 mile ride with fantastic views [ 10.00 toll]..Then pick up rt 17 outside Norfolk..Wish i was going along!!!!
