My husband and I travel well together. We never tire of each other (been married for 11 years, too), and only get snippy after nasty 11 hour plane trips.

Although we travel to Europe several times a year to see his family, the most romantic trip we've taken is to Key West. It probably could have been romantic even in Detroit, because it was the first time, after being married for 8 years, that we just went on a vacation to vacation--not to visit friends and family. It was a wonderful week.
