Traveling around Biloxi

Wanting to make the most of 2-3 days of fun before going to a meeting in Biloxi in early November. What is in the area (will have a rental car) besides all the gambling casinos? How far is Natchez? We will be staying in Biloxi at Isle View Hotel. Any info on this hotel? Thanks!

Natchez is about 225 miles and takes aout 3 1/2 hrs.
Between Biloxi and Gulfport is an
Interesting place to visit --- Beauvoir-the antebellum mansion where Jefferson Davis lived--they have tours with all the historical background (I believe he was "held" there after the Civil was was over)

East to Mobile is a beautiful coastal drive....don't know if this years hurricanes did much damage along the coast???
You will like area even in November..

I would highly recommend the Walter Anderson Museum in Ocean Springs, MS. Any interest in New Orleans? It's not far and could be done just for the day if you prefer to stay in Biloxi.

I guess you will be going to neither New Orleans nor Biloxi any time soon, now that they have been destroyed by Katrina.

Life changes in an instant! I hope to remember this in the moments I "worry" over something inconsequential.
