I had to search back, but jnn1964 posted a trip report to the grand canyon/vegas on 6/21/2003. I am pretty sure that was the date. It was a funny trip report.

Some ideas...

Molvania spoof, Scarlett's Trip to Hell, Tipping the Pilot and some that Muffin started...all funny..

Crazymina should also go into the Hall of Fame. She's posted some good, interesting travel reports as is Marilyn's current England one...

Roxy's (turn_it_on) Hawaiian trip reports are excellent and well written.

Not particularly well written, but there are quite a few old Portland/Oregon Coast threads that are quite entertaining

There was a long-running thread on Most Beautiful College Campuses that sparked the interest of a few hundred people.

Gardylou's train trip story in Europe, under the heading "The Kindness of Stangers." That has to be one of the all-time best posts.

I have a few saved. I'll dig 'em up soon.

Daniel Williams has posted (both pre- and post-registration) some great trip reports with detailed info about the cities he has visited, often by alternate transportation, such as taking a bus from Baltimore to Pittsburgh.

Someone else did a lenghty "off the beaten path" report on NYC & its boroughs. I'll have to check on the author's name.

The Mole People thread is the single funniest one I've ever read.Tipping the Pilot is my runner-up.
