That happened all the time when we were filling up with gas in Spain, but it was the attendants with a lit fag in one hand and the gas pump in the other.

*People who are assigned seating in the back and stick their bags in the front
*People who let their kids run and play in the hotel room knowing that people are below
I travel just about every week so I don't really let things get to me. I mind my own business and put on my Bose headphones to drown out any noise.
I try to plan my flights during off peak time so they are not too crowded... I stay in hotels that cater to the business crowd.
I also carry earplugs, just in case.

I just have to share this pet peeve--people talking on cell phones in airports (or any public place) who share WAY TOO much personal information. In the Atlanta airport this past November, there was a college girl sitting behind me, talking on her cell phone about her sex life and how she might or might not be pregnant. She was talking very loudly--it was obvious that she was quite proud of herself and wanted everyone in the waiting area to hear about her experiences. She proceeded to talk about how she would never have an abortion, her mother had tried to have a "talk" with her, her boyfriend would not want a baby, and how there was no way she could be pregnant (and would then start talking again about how she might be). This lasted for nearly an hour! Several of us around her started making comments about her but she didn't stop. Then, her battery started to go down, so she just found a wall outlet and kept on talking!
