Never done this, but if there's one place I'd stop off, it's Glacier National Park. Perhaps St. Paul, MN as well.

RK, how did you know what train is this? Took me a web search after you post to see it's not something new, but 2 existing Amtrak stops, one of them I visited

How do I know? Well, I hardly ride any train in the US, but I love trains - the history, the geography, etc... That's why I know the train from Chicago to Seattle is the Empire Builder, the old route of Great Northern Railway.

We are taking the Empire Builder trip on Amtrak and will be stopping at East Glaicier Park, MT. We'll be staying at St. Mary's Lodge and resort. Should be fun time for family of 5.

Coach 22..please-please post a trip report. upon your return.
Am considering this trip from Seattle to Chicago next year as a solo adventure....
After a few days in Chicago I will fly home..
St. Paul indeed would be a great stop..
Good luck
