Topsail Beach

Topsail is my favorite beach! We rent a house there--is that what you're doing? There's not much there- a couple of restaurants and a few shops. (That's what we enjoy) The beach is very nice--we like the northern end. The fishing is great and the island is so narrow that the sound is a short walk from the beach--great for clamming, crabbing, sailing, fishing, etc. Any specific questions, let me know!

It's near Wilmington. Quiet, no big boardwalk activities.
I'm sure there's a web site for that part of the coast, but I don't know it. Try the official NC vacation website www.visitnc.com (or it might be .gov).

We've vacationed there 3 times in the last 5 years, that's how much we like it. For accommodations, we recommend a
condo complex called Villa Capriani in North Topsail, second would be the St. Regis. Just do a search on Topsail Island and you should get several hits.
Topsail is not for you, though, if you like boardwalk honky-tonks. There are more than a couple of restaurants, most pretty good. There's a little nearby shrimp-fishing village on the mainland called Sneads Ferry where you can get really good fresh seafood.
