Top 10 shows worth seeing in Las Vegas

I'm visiting LV and want to see a couple of shows. "O" will be dark so I wont be able to see that one. I've been reading S&R at the Mirage not worth the $$. Any other suggestions? We are in our 30's. thanks!!

Enjoyed "Storm" at Mandalay Bay in March, as well as Blue Man Group and O.

What is "Storm"? I've heard it mentioned a couple of times on this forum.

Storm is this crazy show that combines elements of a lot of different types of performances. Great music, dancing and some acrobatics; amazing costumes (not too risque but really cool); an incredible set; and it's not a big-name show so the tickets are not very expensive (we got free tickets for staying at the mandalay bay - probably would not have gone otherwise since we hadn't heard of it, but I truly enjoyed it more than the overpriced and overhyped "O"; it's hard to compare it to BMG since that is entirely different, but suffice it to say I felt it was very worth it.

Among several Vegas shows I've seen, I could only recommend three in this order:

O
Mystere
Storm

Enjoy.

and some shows that appeal to a certain group but not me

Justin Tranz' show is hilarious. It is so funny. Seeing people do things they wouldn't normally do is great. It is playing at O'Shea's. You have to see this.

The general consensus among Las Vegas regulars is O, Danny Gans, Mystere, Blue Man Group make up the top 4 shows in Las Vegas. Jubilee is hard to beat if you want an old time production show. We also have enjoyed Clint Holmes, Legends, Scintas, American Superstars, MacKing, Ron Lucas and EFX. I did not enjoy Wayne Newton, but I probably am in the minority. I also would not recommend Storm, Splash nor Crazy Girls.

Comments on what I have seen

Danny Gans - fantastic...amazing, funny, etc.

Siegfried & ROy - really enjoyed it, although it seems to becoming passe...its still good.

Mystere - very good - personally i liked it better than "O"

"O" - a little overhyped....how much diving and synchronized water ballet can you tolerate? while good, i think mystere is better show for the $$$.

I notice in general comments vary on some shows, but mystere and danny gans are rarely panned.

Marie,
How did you get free tickets to Storm by staying at Mandalay Bay? We're staying there, too, and would love to get free tickets.

Went to "Mystere" and "Blue Man Group" this past Spring - loved BMG!!! Would go again in a heartbeat! Loved the unusual factor, humor, and audience participation. Mystere was also very good - focuses on difficult acrobatic feats with humor. Heard discouraging remarks about Danny Gans & S/Roy - can't speak much about them.

S&R was terrible. Sorry I wasted the money. Mystere was awesome.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Big Elvis at the Barbary Coast. You'll never ask for your money back...because it's free.
