I was wondering, if you're using hotel's courtesy cars or limo, how much will you tip the chauffeur? What kind of amount is appropriate? Thanks for your opinions in advance.

It depends on the service rendered.

If they take you to the airport and the driver loads and unloads your bags, $2 would be good or you could go $1 per bag. I am picturing airport shuttles in vans with multiple passengers in this situation.

If there is a limo that is chauferring you to restaurants, entertainment or even your office I believe that more would be called for. Something in the $5 plus range. Use your discretion based on length of trip and service.

If you are using a hotel courtesy van, etc., then you've obviously saved some money on a taxi. I would tip at least $2.00 and definitely more if the person was handling bags, etc. Still cheaper, and more convenient than a taxi, your next CD, those expensive running shoes, a trip to the movies...be generous..they even smiled at you!

Depends on how far to the airport I guess... I would tip at least $5... more if you have a lot of bags.

Last time when I used the hotel courtesy car (for a night out only, about 15 minutes from the destination), I tipped the chauffeur 5 bucks, I was wondering if it's too little, because I don't want to be stingy. Now I know it's an alright tip.
