It is just a cover for another sleazy timeshare sales presentation. To the scum that keep posting for this website, advertising is not allowed on this forum and you are in direct violation of the rules. Do not fall for this scam there is nothing free on this website even the offer of free information has an $8.00 charge for so called postage and handling (What exactly is handling)?

I am a timeshare owner, and just by chance, I happenned to buy it just last February with The Orlando Web Site guys.
This type of post insults me, it sounds like you are calling me and anybody esle that even thought about visiting that website the least stupid and ignorant. Just for the other readers, I did buy on it and I am very pleased with what I got back from them. I got to buy the most beautiful timeshare I've seen, did get free tickets, and a lot more. Scam is to have to listen to people that post their messages without posting their real e-mail.

I have to agree with the first poster. While no one is ignorant for buying in to the time share, that is not what is being complained about nor what occurred on this board. I remember seeing a post about discount coupons for Orlando and the post listed a web address. I too fell into this trap and decided to visit the website to see what it offered. I browsed the sight and did not see anything that interested me. Two days later, I received a telephone call at my home at 9p.m. on a weeknight from a time share representative. She said that they saw that I visited their website and even though I didn't order any materials, they were offereing me this great time share opportunity. I had a very hard time getting off the phone with her and finally just had to hang up (very rude) At any rate, timeshares are not a scam necessarily, but I do believe that this was a sleazy underhanded way to go about it. Posting a web address on this forum (an advertising no no), getting people to visit the website, and then calling htem at home late at night if they do. This is just not good practice. The time share may be reputable but foolong people into visiting the site to get their information to call them at hoem is no way to make a sale!

Allan-- Please do not think that you are being insulted for your vacation choices. But while "goaway" was a little too harsh, the sentiment is pretty much what a lot of us feel. Recently there was a thread titled something like "Would you give up an hour for a good Deal?", in which a marketing agent for timeshares in essence took a poll of people's feelings about getting free stuff for timeshare presentations. The response was about 95% negative. The point of this is that the majority of people on this forum are not looking for that kind of "help", and know where to find it if they change their minds. I assume you did not buy your particular timeshare because of a solicitation on this forum. Therefore, I think it's fair to ask them to find clients in some other manner.

Just that this board is not for advertisers. If they're welcomed here, it will ruin the nature and efficiency of this site.

And BTW, anonymous e-mail addresses here have EVERYTHING to do with avoiding advertisers and kooks, and nothing to do with lack of courage to stand behind one's posts. Just ask how many people here have been burned after posting their true address.

I am the original poster of this message and you see that I have included my real address. Please be assured that it was by no means my intention to insult any timeshare owner. If you have had good experiences with timeshares, fantastic. I for one have had nothing but distastrous experiences and it infuriates me when someone tries to pass off themselves as being helpful when all they want to do is sell something. I live in orlando and just visited the afore mentioned site to see if what they were saying was true. I found no useful information that you did not have to pay for, and the properties that they were pushing are not prime properties by any means. Once again if I offended you I apologize, but to the people trying to sell stuff on this forum it is strictly forbidden and intolerable.
