Times Square hotel choice

I'm trying to decide between the Westin Times Square and The Muse. I have reservations at both at the same price. Considering quality first, then convenience to subways (5 days, no car), which would be the better choice?

I can't comment on the Muse, but have stayed at the Westin. The Westin is just a block off Times Square and around the corner from a subway station. IT is fairly new and has a modern decor. Very nice.

looking at the map, they're equi-distance from the main subway station in Times Square. Although if you're planning on doing a lot of walking from Central Park, major shops, Rockefeller etc, the Muse would be a little bit closer. Plus cabbing around sometimes, it would be better slightly cheaper not to have to go thru 7th and 8th avenues (WEstin). Traffic usually congested around the area.

I've stayed at the Muse, but have only walked by the Westin about a million times. My choice for you would be the Westin. I was not impressed with the rooms at The Muse at all. But if fancy trendy uniforms on the staff turn you on, the Muse would be nice.

The Westin because I'm not a fan of the Muse either.

I stayed at The Muse last night and despite negative views I liked it and would stay there again. My primary concern was walking distance to theaters and a comfortable bed. They have great mattresses! The room was spacious and room service was very fast.
